How we enforce these guidelines

We combine automated tools with human review.

Proactive filtering

Automated filters screen chat, profile text, and league/team names for prohibited content. Filtered material may be blocked at send time, masked, or flagged for human review.

User reporting

Every message, profile, and league has a Report action. You can also email support@wovan.app with the user ID and a description of the problem. We aim to review all reports within 24 hours.

When you report:

User blocking

You can block any user from their profile or from a chat thread. A blocked user cannot:

Consequences

Depending on severity and context, we may:

  1. Remove the offending content.
  2. Issue a warning.
  3. Temporarily restrict chat, league creation, or other features.
  4. Suspend the account.
  5. Permanently terminate the account and ban the user from creating new ones.

Violations involving child sexual abuse material, credible threats of violence, or coordinated harassment result in immediate termination and, where required, referral to law enforcement.

Appeals

If you believe enforcement was a mistake, reply to the enforcement notice or email support@wovan.app within 30 days. A moderator who was not involved in the original decision will review your appeal.

Reporting in an emergency

Wovan is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. For concerns about child safety, contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at CyberTipline.org.
